I finished my top. Yeah me! I should be more excited, but in fact, I'm disappointed. On the size x-small model, it looks hot. On fat cow me, it looks gross. Oh well, I'll stick to clothes that are flattering on me.
So, I went thru my stash and nothing excites me. I have great patterns, but the yarn I own doesn't seem to fit. You know what that means! Yes my friends, Yarn-store-road-trip! I"m taking tomorrow off and will indulge.
I found a yarn store close to my house. Memory Hagler's Knitting STore. It's in Vestavia Hills.
I'll have my nose pressed against the glass starting at 9:45 am.
How can one knit and blog at the same time? That's the big question of life my friends.

Say it ain't so......
I finished one side of my sexy little number. I laid it out flat and measured it out. I made the top half too wide! I will have to rip out about 20 rows. On a lighter note, since it's too large, it shouldn't take me but a few hours to fix it. Oh well, I have nothing better to do on Memorial Day! I wanted this finished for July 4th festivities, so I still have a lot of time.

Welcome to my madness
I'm 42 and new to knitting. I've been a crocheter most of my life. My cousin taught me to crochet when I was about 10 and I didn't know how to read a pattern, but recently learned. It took me 7 years to learn to knit, but now that I got it, I can't put down my knitting needles. I have so much in my stash, I have to start knitting or my husband may make a noose from my yarn and hang me!
My first real project is a saucy little number I found on GarnStudio.com. If you have never had a yarn orgasm, go to garnstudio. I've finished the back and need to start on the front. I'm using a rust colored Blue Sky Cotton yarn. I'll post a photo when I complete it.
