A weird thing happened last month. Someone on Facebook asked me to make a baby cap and booties for her niece who is arriving in June. Nothing strange about that, but it's someone I'm not too sure how I know. I don't know her in the real world. She also follows me on Twitter and comments on a few of the knitting projects I'd like to make. She offered to pay me for the yarn I purchased, but as I have yarn everywhere in my house I told her I probably had something around here and she could pay me for the cost of the yarn. I found 4 skeins of
sinfonia yarn in lilac and one in cream so I used that. Out of one skein I made 2 caps and a pair of booties and the little flowers
So I chose this pattern from
Garnstudio.com for the cap and
this one for solid lilac booties with some cream picot crochet trim. Sorry I don't have a cute baby to use as a model. You will just have to make do with my hand :)
